The Explorer Scout Unit is run by the Afon District. The Unit was set up on the 1st September 2002 in accordance with the New Scout Programme, the new age range is; between 14; and 18 years old. There is a monthly newsletter which give the young people a chance to have their say.The Unit has a very active programme, we meet weekly, as you can see the programme is diverse, the young people have a very active part in the planning for the programme. A few examples of the programme are below:- Bowling
- Climbing
- Unit meals
- Car maintenance
- Skiing
- Canoeing
- Video/DVD nights (with Ice cream)
- Weekend and night hikes
